FFS - Missed the game - Sat in a Spanish bar arguing over this.

Now to catch up on the game. But a points a point and still have faith in MP.

I will learn this recipe by heart ( not cook it ) but surprise them with this knowledge when I see them next.

Underestimated the all round knowledge of many matters on here.

So confirmed I am a thick cunt in regard to food and ingredients and looked as such when a group of pilled up Spanish were offering me Potato Croquettes with the tapas they had, of which I said no thanks , hate them, like wet Potatos the filling, fucking horrible. They looked at me in disgust and said you don´t like Bechamel - i had no idea what it was. Googled it and bet them very few in the UK would know this ingredient and especially aged 17. Well all squaddies bar one - who is thicker than me - I asked knew and you lot.

For years just thought cheesy wet potato. But no its Bechamel.

All this debate with these ravers over Potato Croquettes, whilst missing the game. Depressing really.

White sauce
Gently bring 500ml whole milk to the boil in a small saucepan with 1 halved onion, studded with 1 bay leaf and 2 cloves. Turn off the heat and leave to infuse for 20 mins.
Melt 50g butter in another saucepan, then add 50g plain flour. Stir continuously until a paste forms – this is called a roux. Continue cooking for 2 mins.
Remove the onion, bay and cloves from the milk with a slotted spoon and discard. Add the infused milk to the roux gradually, stirring as you go, until you get a smooth sauce. Cook for 5-10 mins, stirring continuously, until the sauce has thickened. Season to taste.
